Carter County Museum was the first county museum in the state of Montana. Located in
Ekalaka, this little known museum houses some of the finest paleontological discoveries in the nation, as well as numerous artifacts depicting the lives of the Indian s and early settlers of
Carter County. Among the paleontological finds housed within the museum are a mounted skeleton of an Anatotitian copei (duckbill) and a complete Triceratops skull.
