At the very tip of the Baja peninsula is Los Cabos. Once just isolated fishing camps, it is now a popular vacation destination. Los Cabos is situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortes. This town has captured the attention of developers and architects who have built some of Mexico's most unique resorts. As the Sea of Cortez with it's warm air meets the cooler Pacific ocean, it often creates a rainbow of differnt colors. The clear, calm water of the Sea of Cortez are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Close by you'll find a commercial and agricultural center where they grow some of the county's best mangos, avocados and oranges. For bird lovers, there is a estuary where you can enjoy looking at some 200 species of birds.
