Search Sackville New Brunswick

Originally a palisaded earthwork, Fort Gaspereaux was built by French Troops in 1751. Eight-feet deep ditches surrounded the building, and it was flanked by blockhouses. It burned in 1756, and a cairn now commemorates this site.
