Falls Lake

Falls Lake is a man-made reservoir located in the upper portion of North Carolina's Neuse River Basin. The dam is located a few miles north of Raleigh, at the village of Falls. The lake extends 22 miles upstream from the dam to the confluence of the Eno and Flat Rivers near Durham.

Falls Lake offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities including swimming beaches, campgrounds, picnic groves, hiking trails, boat ramps and fishing piers.

Park Rangers not only enforce park regulations but offer interpretive programs through a variety of illustrated talks, trail hikes and other special programs.
