Five Points Horse Park is the home of th annual Southern Pines Horse Trials, and the renowned Stoneybrook Steeplechase, as well as the other equestrain events such as combined driving. The competition center was born of a vision held by a group of equestrain enthusiasts in North Carolina who were concernedabout the dwindling amonunt of land dedicated to the sport. The Sandhills Equestrain Conservancy, a North Carolina 501 (C)3 corporation, was created in 1998 for the purposeof preserving open spac and promoting national and international equestrain competition.
