Hendersonville is located in Henderson County (of which it is the county seat) between Asheville and Flat Rock along US Highway 25 near Mountain Home, Bat Cave, Fletcher, Chimney Rock, and the Pisgah National Forest. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 7,309, an increase of 25 since 1990.
