King North Carolina

King is located in Stokes County between Winston-Salem and Mount Airy along US Highway 52 near Pinnacle, Germanton, Pilot Mountain State Park, and the Horne Creek Living Historical Farm. King was founded as a train depot in 1888 after originally being a stage coach stop. The city is unique because it is located in two counties, both Stokes and Forsyth.

King is part of the Greensboro--Winston-Salem--High Point metro area.
