Works of art are displayed in historical sequence through eight major collections: Ancient, European, American, 20th-Century, Jewish ceremonial art, African, Oceanic and New World. The paintings include works by Thomas Hart Benton, Sandro Botticelli, John Singleton Copley, Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Raphael, Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony Van Dyck, Andrew Wyeth, and Winslow Homer. Changing exhibits are also presented; docents conduct tours at 1:30pm. Museum open Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm (also Friday 5-9pm), Sunday 11am-6pm; closed major holidays. Admission is free to the public.
