Old Salem is an outdoor living history town with restored historic buildings for touring. On the original site of Salem, founded 1766, is the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA), The Gallery at Old Salem, and The Children's Museum at Old Salem. It's a great place to discover history, shop and dine in an oasis hidden away in an urban setting. The site features more than 90 restored buildings, 15 of which can be toured.
