Once a railroad depot, the museum houses memorabilia relating to the Civil War Battle of Plymouth. Photographs, a complete list of Union troops who were stationed at Plymouth, a 1790 loom and a 3,000-year-old American Indian canoe are on display. Especially noteworthy is a weapons collection that includes derringers, a keg torpedo, period rifles and a swivel cannon purchased in Austria by Benjamin Franklin. During the third weekend in April the museum holds a living-history re-enactment of the Battle of Plymouth. Open Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm; closed holidays.
