Reidsville is located in
Rockingham County north of
Greensboro, between
Burlington and
Eden along Highway 87 near
Wentworth,
Yanceyville, the
Chiqua-Penn Plantation, and the Dan & Haw Rivers.
Reidsville was once known as 'The Lucky City' because it was home to the American Tobacco Company, maker of Lucky Strike cigarettes. In 1994, the company was sold and city officials had to diversified the local economy so that the city lives up to its motto, 'Focused on a better tomorrow.'
