Live animals on display include alligators, snakes and ferrets. Environmental dioramas show regional habitats such as swamps and woodlands. Other exhibits include Tuscarora Indians, Thomas Edison, a Living Marsh and Health Awareness. The Civitan Planetarium has shows about the solar system, the stars and the universe. Picnicking is permitted in a nearby park.
