Roxboro is located in Person County (of which it is the county seat) north of Durham, between Oxford and Reidsville along US Highway 158 near Yanceyville, Hurdle Mills, the Flat River, Hyco Reservoir, and Mayo Reservoir. Incorporated on January 9, 1855, Roxboro is geographically centered in Person County among scenic rolling hills of the eastern Piedmont area.
