The Missouri River Lodge, bed and breakfast, located on a 2,000 acre working ranch nestled in a river bottom valley along the Missouri River, surrounded by badland formations near Stanton, ND. The activities right on our ranch include 10 miles of trails that can be walked, biked, or enjoyed by a horse drawn wagon ride. There is also a trail to a National Historic Place called High Butte Effigy - Turf Cut Turtle Effigy (very rare). Our third trail takes you to a State archeological Indian site to view tipi of the early Woodland Indian era, a view that George Catlin painted in 1831 after the Lewis & Clark Expedition, a buffalo jump site, and further on the trail you can view the upper badland formations with abundant wildlife for hunting. They have a courtesy boat landing on the Missouri River to enjoy fishing, boating, or sunning on the sandy beach, and a camp fire ring where you can enjoy the quiet starlit evenings around an open fire.
