Mayville Public Library

Mayville Public Library, serving an area of 1,980 residents, has a collection of 12,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 37 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 20 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.

Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $4,400. Patrons make 8,100 visits annually, and check out materials 10,500 times. Thirty-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
