Schramm Park State Recreation Area |
Schramm Park State Recreation Area is located along the banks of the Platte River 6 miles south of I-80 exit 432 or about 6 miles west of the junction of NE 31 and NE 50. Home to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium and Outdoor Education Center, the area is open daily from sunrise to sunset for picnicking, hiking and myriad other day use activities. Although camping is not permitted at Schramm, campers will find excellent facilities at nearby Louisville SRA, just south of the Platte River on NE 50 at Louisville.
Nebraskans have been enjoying the picturesque beauty of Schramm Park SRA for well over a century now, and things are getting better all the time. Although not dubbed so originally, Schramm is the state's oldest recreation grounds.
