Bungay Jar Bed & Breakfast, nestled in a hillside overlooking eight acres of beautiful gardens in Franconia, provides for a peaceful sanctuary away from the husle and bustle of city life. Bungay jar is an old logging-term, for a wind that rushes through the Valley several times a year, particularly in the winter and early spring that creates a unique roar that can be heard throughout the surrounding countryside.

This fully restored antique 1800's English post & beam barn has six guest rooms, some with private decks and terraces and are decorated with period furnishings and luxurious bedding and linens. The inn serves a hearty North Country breakfast, afternoon tea and treats by the fire or in the garden and complimentary beverages are available anytime.

Other amenities include Internet/email access, a European sauna, and close proximity to many winter and summer activities at Franconia Notch State Park and the White Mountains.

They also offer Plum Cottage, located in Franconia Village with its queen bed, jacuzzi, fireplace, loft and kitchen/dining room makes it a romantic getaway. The room rate does not include breakfast.
