Cranmore Mountain Resort is located on over 200 skiable acres and a total of 40 trails in North Conway, in Carroll County. Known as the home of "the father of American skiing," Cranmore has been offering a world famous ski experience since 1937 when the first trails were cleared by Harvey Gibson and later by the arrival of Hannes Schneider. Cranmore is also home to the famous Skimobile.

Cranmore also offers a wide array of amenities, including: a retail shop, ski and snowboard rentals, six different eating establishments, Family Fitness Center, Indoor & Outdoor Tennis Courts, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, indoor climbing wall and more.

Once head of all of Austria's ski instructors, Schneider escaped house arrest after having been stripped of his title in 1938 by Hitler when he annexed Austria. Upon the request of North Conway businessman Gibson, Schneider and his family relocated to Cranmore and began a ski school that became famous around the world.
