Opened in 1947, Weeks Medical Center serves the North Country towns of New Hampshire and Vermont with a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, home health services and a hospice program based in Lancaster. It also includes physicians? offices located in Lancaster and the surrounding towns of Whitefield and Groveton. Weeks offers 24-hour, physician-staffed Emergency Room services.

The facility is currently nearing completion on an $8 million renovation and construction project. Already completed are a new surgical suite, birthing center, pharmacy, intensive care unit, and radiology services area, complete with a new high-tech CT scanner and state-of-the-art bone density screening equipment. Weeks also offers convenient MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) services at the hospital every other Thursday. Their new Oncology Department, Same Day Surgery unit and Rehabilitation Services Department have all been recently completed.
