The Victoria Inn

This historic bed and breakfast is located on High Street, and offers 6 guest rooms in this attractive home built around 1875 as the carriage house for the Leonia Inn of Hampton.

The Victoria Inn has well-appointed rooms and common areas, and nicely landscaped grounds. Each room and suite is elegantly adorned with its own private bath.

The property features full New England style breakfast, cozy sitting areas, a wraparound porch, and an elegant dining room from which the former summer residence of Franklin Pierce, former President of the United States from 1853 to 1857 can be seen. Non-smoking units are also available. Weddings and other functions are well catered to at the Inn in their various sitting areas, dining room, and gazebo.

The inn was destroyed by fire and then the carriage house was moved to the front of the property by the owner, New Hampshire Governor George Ashworth, and rebuilt as a guest house.

Visitors to the inn will find a short walk to the Atlantic Ocean beaches. Also nearby is historic Portsmouth, Strawberry Banke Museum, antiquing, whale watching and harbor cruises, deep-sea fishing, and golf courses.
