Batsto New Jersey

Batsto is located in Burlington County, in the Delaware River Region, northwest of Atlantic City between Pleasantville and Green Bank along Highway 542 on the banks of the Batsto River. Batsto is part of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-New Jersey metro area and is situated within Wharton State Park.

Batsto derives its name from the Dutch term for "bathing place," because it was a spot where Indians came to bathe. This is a former iron- and glass-making community. Cannon and cannon balls were made here during the Revolution and the War of 1812

Batsto Historic Village is a popular tourist attraction.
