Bloomsbury is in Hunterdon County, in the Skylands Region. It is situated on the Musconetcong River at the junction of US 22 and State Highway 579, near I-78, at the county border with Warren County. Nearby communities are Greenwich and Alpha. About five miles west is the state border with Pennsylvania.
