The Borough of East Rutherford is located in
Bergen County, in the
Gateway Region, near State Highway 17, about four miles west of the New Jersey Turnpike. Nearby are
Carlstadt and
Rutherford. This small community is set in the midst of many small communities in a heavily populated area in eastern New Jersey. East Rutherford is part of the
Bergen-Passaic, New Jersey metro area.
