Named for a ferry operating on the Hackensack River, the Township of Little Ferry is located in Bergen County, in the Gateway Region and is part of the Bergen-Passaic, New Jersey metropolitan area. On US 46 and midway between the New Jersey Turnpike and I-80, Little Ferry is close to the New Jersey Palisades, on the shores of the Hudson River overlooking New York City.
