Longport

Named for John Long, a prominent landowner, Longport, south of Atlantic City and at the south end of Absecon Island, is in Atlantic County, in the Atlantic City Region. Longport is on the north side of the Great Egg Harbor Inlet opening to Great Egg Harbor and the mouth of the Great Egg Harbor River. Nearby are Ocean City and Somers Point.
