The museum's collections include American Indian artifacts; mineralogy displays; archaeological, historical and geological exhibits; and a display about the silk industry. The museum is host to a gallery of photographs and paintings by local artists, inspired by Paterson's Great Falls. Also of note are the hulls of the first two submarines, invented and constructed by J.P. Holland of Paterson.
