Paterson

The city of Paterson is located in Passaic County and is the county seat. It is north of Newark between Fair Lawn and Totowa, at the junction of Interstate 80 and State Highway 19, on the banks of the Passaic River near Passaic Falls.

Paterson is part of the Bergen-Passaic, New Jersey metro area.

Nearby are West Paterson, and Haledon.
