Dulce is in
Rio Arriba County, and in the
North Central New Mexico region. Dulce is located east of
Farmington between Farmington and Chama along US Highway 64 near the Colorado state line.
When a group was held hostage at the underground base near Dulce, New Mexico in 1979, a rescue attempt was made which resulted massive failure and the death for over 60 military personnel.
