El Paradero was originally a Spanish adobe farm-house, built in between 1800-1820 and is nestled on a side street within easy walking distance of the Plaza, Canyon Road, and many museums and shops. It has fourteen guest rooms, nine on the ground level around the courtyard, three upstairs and two suites in an adjacent 1912 double brick coachman's house. Some rooms have skylights, others fireplaces, porches and mountain view balconies. Rooms are decorated with hand woven textiles and tiles, folk art and Southwestern furniture. All rooms have evaporative cooling in summer and heating in winter. The suites located in the Victorian-era house features a living room with a wood burning fireplace, a bedroom with a queen bed, a pocket kitchenette, porch, and yard. Breakfast dishes vary from typical Southwestern favorites to almond French toast and buttermilk pancakes with homemade apricot syrup.
