Great Slave Lake

Although not quite as large as Great Slave Lake, Great Bear Lake is very large, covering almost 11,000 square miles. It lies about 250 miles east of the Rockies. The Slave River feeds it from a drainage system that extends into northern Alberta and Saskatchewan. Its outlet becomes the might MacKenzie River.
