The renovated Eastely Train Depot houses a small museum and gift shop. But the highlight of this stop is old Number 40, "The Ghost Train of
Ely." A coal-fired 1910 Baldwin steam locomotive, The Ghost Train and Number 93, a 1909 American Consolidate steam engine, both offer passenger rides. Train enthusiasts can even become engineers for a few hours and drive either a steam or diesel locomotive on a 14-mile trip up a narrow mountain canyon and back.
The information for the trains is with Ely's Bristlecone Convention Center.
