Lake Mead

Created by the building of Hoover Dam, this lake is twice the size of Rhode Island with 550 miles of craggy shoreline. There are also lots of sheltered coves for peaceful boating and fishing.

Lake Mead extends into Arizona. The surrounding desert area abounds with spactacular canyons and jagged mountains.
