South Fork State Recreation Area

The South Fork Reservoir covers 1,650 acres and is surrounded by 2,200 acres of meadowlands and hills. The park is known for its trophy-class trout and bass fishery and is popular for boating, camping, picnicking, and winter sports as well. Park facilities include a campground, boat launch, trailer dump station and picnic area. The park is open year round and is located 16 miles south of Elko on Route 228.
