American Numismatic Society

Housed in the former estate of naturalist John J. Audubon, the American Numismatic Society holds a collection of nearly one million objects, including coins, paper money, and medals representing 2,500 years of material culture.

For the casual visitor exhibitions of historical artifacts and miniature artistic masterpieces, as well as The World of Coins, a major exhibit that traces the history of money as a medium of exchange from ancient to modern times are available.
