Bronx New York

The Bronx is one of the five boroughs of New York City and is its own county as well. It is the northernmost borough and the only one entirely on the mainland. The area is hilly and mostly residential. The Bronx is bounded by the Hudson River, Spuyten Duyvil Creek, the Harlem River, the East River, and Long Island Sound.

The Bronx was founded in 1641 and became part of New York City in 1898. Edgar Allan Poe lived here from 1846 to 1849.
