Comprising 287,989 acres in the
Catskill Mountains, this preserve is particularly beautiful in June when the laurel blooms and in October when the leaves turn.
Slide Mountain, with a height of 4,180 feet is the highest point in the preserve.
The preserve also is the location of Beaver Kill, Neversink and Willowemoc, three of the best fishing streams in the state.
