Chambers St, New York City New York
City Hall is close to the site where the Declaration of Independence was read to the army July 9, 1776 and is New York
City's third. Constructed from 1803-1812, designed by John McComb and Joseph Mangin, the building has undergone many restorations during its almost two hundred-year history. The original copper roof of City Hall was installed in 1811; it was replaced in 1853, and five years later, due to fire damage, replaced again.
Tours available daily.
