In addition to farm tours, Dakota Ridge offers dayhikes (with your "own" llama) from Spring through Fall. Hike on horse trails, stop and eat lunch, and then hike back to the farm.
In addition to the llamas, this 42 acre facility currently houses eight horses (six boarders plus two geldings). This farm's biggest claim to fame locally is birthday parties with "Dakota the Kissing Llama." Party attendees are treated to hands-on interaction with Dakota along with llama-related birthday favors.
Dakota Ridge Farm is located in upstate New York just 7 miles south of historic Saratoga Springs.
