Geneva is located in
Ontario County 50 miles SE of
Rochester between Canaddaigua and Waterloo along Highway 20 near Seneaca Lake State Park and in the
Western Region of the state. On
Seneca Lake, largest of the
Finger Lakes, Geneva is the center of a rich agricultural and nursery region. A local wine research and development center explores new ways of growing grapes and making wine; numerous vineyards are found in the area. Geneva is part of the
Rochester, New York metro area.
