Glens Falls is located in Warren County 18 miles north of Saratoga Springs along Interstate 87 on the banks of the Hudson River near Lake George and Moreau Lake State Park. It is in the Northern Region of the state. Glens Falls is situated around a 60-foot waterfall on the Hudson River. Glens Falls is part of the Glens Falls, New York metro area. Glens Falls was a paper-manufacturing center until a strike closed most of the mills. It was ranked 69 among Best Smaller Places, Forbes magazine, May 2000.
