Hicksville is located in
Nassau County on
Long Island between Jericho and
East Meadow along Highway 106 near Bethpage State Park and is in the
Southern Region of the state. Hicksville is part of the
Nassau-Suffolk, New York metro area.
One tradition says the community was named after Valentine Hicks, landowner; another says it was named for Elias Hicks, Quaker reformer.
