The museum, housed in the Heitz Place Courthouse (1895), is dedicated to providing impressive exhibits and a range of science and craft workshops for children and adults. A permanent DINOSAUR EGG EXHIBIT is now part of the collection - eggs from the Cretaceous period, 100,000,000 years old. A butterfly and moth collection emphasizes native species, plus the 1915 jail, and audio-visual programs.
