The School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is an academic unit of the State University of New York at Buffalo. It is committed to excellence in education, research, and patient care. Unlike many other medical schools, the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences does not own or operate its own hospital facility or clinical practice site. Rather, it has organized a consortium of affiliated hospitals offering a wide range of clinical experiences and training opportunities. This School is now 154 years old and was the founding faculty of the University.
