A triple-decked stadium in Flushing, Queens, Shea Stadium is named for attorney William Shea, who was instrumental in bringing an NL expansion franchise to New York in 1962. It is circular but unenclosed in the outfield, and features natural grass, symmetrical fences, and the major league's largest scoreboard behind the right-center field fence.
