Taconic State Park is located along 11 miles of border separating New York State from Massachusetts and Connecticut. Two developed areas, Copake Falls and Rudd Pond, offer an extensive trail system that provides challenging terrain and spectacular views. The Copake Falls Area, in addition to campsites, has cabins, picnic and playground areas. Pit Pond, located in the park, has a beach and adjacent wading pond. The pond and Bash Bish Brook are favorite places for trout fishing. The park also has extensive hiking, biking and nature trails, as well as cross-country ski and snowmobile trails for winter recreation. The Copake Falls Area also offers an iron industry museum.
