Walter Elwood Museum and Art Gallery

One of only two public school-operated museums in New York. Exhibits on life in the Mohawk Valley, with special emphasis on the activities of children. Among its exhibits are a blacksmith shop, a teepee, a nature room, a local history room, a 300 ye ar old cabin, and Victorian furnishings. Other displays include Eskimos, the USS Amsterdam, natural history, the Iroquois Indians and Thomas Edison. Open weekdays by season. Call for hours.
