Located on Wick Avenue. This museum was founded in 1919 by
Youngstown industrialist Joseph G.
Butler Jr., and was one of the first in the country built specifically to house American artworks. The permanent collection surveys American art from the Colonial period to the present. Highlights include major works by Mary Cassatt, John Copley, Thomas Eakins, Adolph Gottlieb, Winslow Homer, Frederic Remington, Charles Sheeler, Robert Vonnoh, Andy Warhol and Benjamin West.
