Conneaut is located in northeastern Ohio in Ashtabula County
about 60 miles northeast of Cleveland
on the shores of Lake Erie
. It is Ohio's northeasternmost population center. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 12,836, a decrease of 405 since 1990.
Golfers have a choice between Windy Hill Golf Course, a public 18-hole course and Conneaut Shores Golf Course, a semi-private 9-hole course which has an open guest policy.
