Created by the merger of the
Dayton Museum of Natural History and the Children's Museum of Dayton, the Dayton Museum of Discovery is an interactive science and learning facility attracting visitors of all ages. A 10,000-square-foot addition was constructed adjacent to the existing Museum of Natural History using a $1.25 million state appropriation included in Am. Sub. S.B. 264. The facility was renamed the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in late 1999.
