Fairborn is located in southwestern Ohio in Greene County just northeast of Dayton and just south of I-70. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 31,390, an increase of 90 since 1990.Nearby recreational areas include Buck Creek State Park about 20 miles to the northeast and activities in, on and around Caesar Creek Lake 20 miles south of town. Post-high school education is nearby at University of Dayton and Wright State University. An interesting day trip is in the offing at SunWatch Indian Village.
